Exploring E-Learning with Polish partnership

December 20, 2008 - Z-Beanz, with a Polish Partnership, is entering into Learning Management System (LMS) Solutions.

'PBG-OM Soft group', Poland and 'Z-Beanz' have decided to Partner for Development and Marketing of an LMS Product to serve the growing demand in the e-learning sector. The application is expected to meet all the typical requirements for a complete LMS including interactive class rooms and Forums with Video conferences. 


The product is planned to release in the month of May- 2009. The Developers and consultants from Z-Beanz and OM-Soft has been taking considerable efforts to release the "OM-Learning" as per the schedule. The Product expects a good response from the Indian and the European Markets.

Z-Beanz Partner with NetUSE, Belgium.

December 08, 2008 - Z-Beanz and NetUSE-Belgium have agreed to work together on the Open ERP implementations.

Open ERP has been gaining an immense demand at its home land , Belgium. Understanding the need of the hour, NetUSE, the Belgium based leading IT service provider, has decided to Partner with Z-Beanz for detailed consultancy , development and customization of Open ERP implementation Projects.

The first Project has already been commenced, which is the customization of  core modules of Open ERP. This include a customized Sales and Purchase process. More features involved are Price lists, Sales , Purchases and Financial work flow. NetUSE has been realizing prospects into Open ERP in an offensive way to effectively utilize the support from Z-Beanz.

The partnership also eyes to build a strong outsourcing alliance, in order to support NetUSE in providing the best solutions in the best manner from Open Source.

Z-Beanz join hands with Big Consulting, Germany.

November 20, 2008 - 'Z-Beanz' and 'Big Consulting', Germany has joined hands for a long term partnership into various IT Projects.'Big Consulting' is targeting the Small and Medium segment in Germany to provide the best and quality IT services. They had been in search of a long term Partner to offer them services in ERP,.Content Managed Web Applications, Providing Services through Amazone Elastic Cloud etc. Finally the decision is made up to Partner with Z-Beanz and to ensure quality delivery to their growing customer requirements.

Projects has been already commenced in OpenERP customization, development and maintenance. The Partnership also expects to have a great reach into the SME to meet the growing demand for Open Source ERPs in the European Region. Initially Big-Consulting will be concentrating more on the Business development and Marketing and Z-Beanz will be supporting them with  Technical Expertise and Consulting Services.

Services through Amazone EC2 is another potential area where the Partnership is going to have the advantage. The Network Team of Z-Beanz is already working together with the Big-Consulting Team to effectively utilize the services of EC2 to manage all the their services.

Active Presence at National Free Software Conference.

November 18, 2008 - The Team from Z-Beanz had its active presence at the National Free Software conference at Kochi on 15th & 16th November.

Lepeesh Parat (C.E.O), an invited speaker for the program, delivered speeches on "Free Software business Models" and "Enterprise Resource Planning".

A work shop on Open ERP was also conducted along with the participation of Staff and Students from SCMS Business School. The sessions were attended by Professionals, Institution heads, Political leaders, Students etc from various parts of the country.

The Conference was inaugurated by Sri. M.A. Baby(Hon'ble Minister for Education & Culture, Govt. of Kerala.) The valedictory session of the Conference, was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri. V.S. Achuthanandan. The Conference was blessed with the presence of Dr. Thomas Issac(Hon'ble Minister for Finance, Govt. of Kerala), Dr. Debesh Das(Hon'ble Minister for IT, West Bengal), Sri. Elamaram Kareem(Industries Minister, Kerala), Dr. Gangan Prathap(Vice Chancellor, CUSAT) etc.

Different parallel sessions comprising of Seminars, Workshops, Open Forums, etc were organized. The Conference also became a meeting place to share the experiences and spread the Spirit of the Free Software community. 


Z-Beanz at National Free Software Conference (India) - 2008

                         November 08, 2008 - A National Conference on 'FREE SOFTWARE' is being held on 15 & 16of November, 2008 at the campus ofCochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi.The Conference will be a milestone in the history of  Free Software movement in India.


The Conference will be inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri V.S. Achuthanandan and will be blessed by leaders of the Legislative Assembly, State and Central Ministers. The Conference will hear nearly 150 experts from the social, technical, industrial and educational domain.

Industry Linkage at GEC, Sreekrishnapuram

October 28, 2008 - Government Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram - Palakkad has conducted its first industry linkage Program on 28th of October 2008. The program is conducted as per the instructions  from The Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala. In the first phase GEC sought the co-operation of "Z-Beanz Technologies". The consultants from Z-Beanz  visited the campus.


The session was arranged for the third semester students of the college, in which the speakers shared their experiences in the industry. The main focus of the session was "Business Potential of Open source", The session also introduced some useful open source products which are cost effective and potentially useful when the students plan to be entrepreneurs.The program was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Dr. P.C ReghuRaj. Teachers from various Departments also took part in the interactive session.

The Program  could also motivate the students to think differently to have courageous career in the IT industry, effectively utilising the Open Source advantage for start ups.  It was also an opportunity to expose the proven business strategy of Z-Beanz which is a company anchored by the old students of GEC.

At B-School with OpenERP

October 20, 2008 - The School of Communications and Management Studies (SCMS) - Business School, One of the best B-Schools in India has set up an OpenERP Lab in association with Z-Beanz Technologies.
The consultants from Z-Beanz had been at  the campus for couple of days. Initially an OpenERP Lab with more than 40 machines was set up in Fedora Core 9. An hands on session with OpenERP was also conducted for the Management students and the faculty.  Apart from installation of Linux , the Students also had a live experience into Package installation of OpenERP, Setting up Database, Running Server and Client etc. They were also made to work on a custom developed ERP application by Z-Beanz , and experience the functionalities of a typical ERP with its Data flow.

With MCA Students at SSTM

October 12, 2008 - The executives from Z-Beanz were invited to an interactive Program, for the Master of Computer Application (MCA) students at SCMS School of Technology and Management, Cochin.

The session focused more on the Open Source Potential in the Educational Sector. It gave Students an overview into various enterprise level Open Source Applications.

The major objective of the Program was to make the students aware of the "Contribution to Open Source", which can be achieved by effectively executing Student Projects using live and latest Open Source applications. This was also one of the consultancy Program of Z-Beanz for the Technical Students. The executives and consultants of the company delivered their live experience in the Open Source model and business in general. Potential applications like OpenERP, Sugar CRM, Koha, Zimbra, Center, Joomla, etc were demonstrated for the students.

October 01, 2008 - The National Institute of Technology Calicut, one of the pioneering Technical Organisation in India has a Technology Business Incubation Program with the support of  National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, to incubate start up industries in the IT and electronics.


Z-Beanz has got the approval to set up its Development and R&D center through this Program at the NIT - Campus. This has enabled the company to have the state-of-the-art infrastructure with full-fledged support from the high profile consultancy services from the NIT. Web Site for GEC-Sreekrishnapuram

September 10, 2008 - Z-Beanz Technologies, along with Network Gulf has sponsored a fully featured content managed website for Government Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram. The Design, Development and Maintenance is, handled by Z-Beanz and hosted in the Network Gulf Server.
Through this project, many Students, Teachers and Alumni of  the College got an opportunity to contribute for a Social cause in a situation when the college was finding difficulty to maintain a website of their own. The whole application was build on Joomla, the most powerful content managed web development tool in the Open Source. This exhibits the potential of Open Source and its value addition with live case study.
